Why Leakproof Underwear Fails - LP02
Why does leakproof underwear leak before it’s full?
Often it isn’t about how much a pair can hold. It’s how fast it takes a leak in. Watch the same cup of water on our original and on MaxProof 2.0:
That’s why we created our fastest-absorbing MaxProof yet.
Redesigned to pull liquid in faster, before it has as much time to spread. Because the worst time to question your protection is when you’re out in public.

How much it holds — and how fast it takes it in
Most of us judge leakproof underwear by capacity. But a sudden bladder leak — a sneeze, a laugh, not quite making it in time — can arrive all at once.
Put a funnel on a big jug. Pour faster than the funnel drains and water spills over the sides. The jug wasn’t full. The funnel was too slow.
If a top layer can’t take liquid in as quickly as it arrives, the liquid waits on the surface and can travel toward the leg openings. That’s how a pair can leak before it’s anywhere close to full.
A simplified drawing of the idea. The real test is at the top of this page.
We rebuilt the top layer
Our earlier designs held liquid well. In MaxProof FlowLock™ 2.0 we focused on how quickly the top layer takes it in.
The new RapidDraw™ perforated top layer has small openings that let liquid pass down into the absorbent core instead of waiting on the surface first.
“We stopped only asking how much it could hold, and started asking how fast it could take it in.”— Brittney, Founder, DesignComfort
Three more improvements
A deeper core
More absorbent material than our original, for fuller leaks.
Thinner to wear
Less bulk than our original, so it looks and feels like everyday underwear.
Quiet
Soft fabric layers instead of a plastic pad — nothing that crinkles when you move.
What women are saying
Out of all the different ones I have tried, including earlier pairs of yours, these are by far my favorite!
A big improvement over its predecessor… much more comfortable.
I was amazed that I did not feel wet at any time during the day, even though I waited too long to get to the bathroom and had a leak. These leak proof panties really work! I am happy that I made the decision to purchase them.
They work so well & don’t make me feel like a grandma, haha. They look like regular underwear and are comfortable with good protection.
Finally, leakproof underwear that work!
